The ESN Switzerland volunteers are at it again! From the 20th to the 22nd of October 2023, ESN volunteers from across Switzerland joined forces for the first National Assembly (NA) of 2023/24 in Bern. With two elections to the national board, a series of plenaries and workshops and international guests, ESN Switzerland (CH) once again proudly showcased its integration into the broader Erasmus Student Network.
Voting results: a thriving network
As part of this iconic NA, two ESNers were elected to national positions: Leutrim Halimi from ESN Luzern was voted Financial Audit and Yann Yasser Haddad from ESN EPFL was voted Advisory Council (AC). Many other votations such as the introduction of a new International Spots Policy were introduced, the Budget for 2024 was accepted and the Swiss Event Policy Paper got amended.
Skill upscaling: plenaries and workshops
Arnaud Buthey, President of ESN CH led the start of the weekend with a session titled Erasmus Generation in Action (EGiA). A reminder of the use of ESN advocacy to improve citizen engagement. Other sessions focused on the 5 phases of project management and the importance of mental health and the University Alliance. A wide array of Workshops were also offered to participants to develop their skills.
International guests in Bern
5 other countries joined the event: Romania, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Bulgaria, and Ukraine.
The organisational committee, chairing team, workshop facilitators and international guests were greatly thanked for their enthusiasm and participation in the event. A true success!
Next up: the NAII in Neuchatel from the 29th to the 31st of March where the new board for 2024/25 will be elected.
